1. Adil Hussain
Adil Hussain is a well-known name in Indian Cinema and as well as International cinema hails from Assam. He has worked in several English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Norwegian and even French films.
Adil Hussain worked as a part-time stand-up comic before transitioning into acting. Later, he enrolled himself in the National School of Drama. The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Life of Pi are the two most famous films of Adil Hussain that were recognized accros the globe.

Diganta Hazarika is a model turned actor who made his Bollywood debut in Hrithik Roshan’s starrer film Mohenjo Daro
Before coming into Bollywood, he made his acting debut in an Assamese short film, Ki Naam Di Matim in 2009. After this, he acted in the Assamese feature films Grahan and Rishang.

3. Dipannita Sharma
She is a gorgeous actress who also hails from Assam and made her debut in Bollywood with the movie 16 December (2002). She became famous after making it to the final five of the Miss India 1998 contest. She also has hosted a popular MTV show related to fashion.

Another beautiful actress Urmila Mahanta born in Sonapur, Assam. Her debut movie was “Vazhakku Enn 18/9” in 2012. Manjhi – The Mountain Man (2015), Akira (2016), Pad Man (2018), and the latest film Dial 100 (2021) are her popular movies. She also received Best Actor (Female) in Assam State Film Awards (2015–16).
5. Plabita Borthakur
Plabita Borthakur another stunning actress also hails from Assam. She made her debut with the movie PK in 2014 as Anushka Sharma’s sister. She came into the limelight with her most famous film Lipstick Under My Burkha in 2017. Her latest film is Doosra (film) directed by Abhinay Deo. She has also done many web series such as Parchhayee (2019), Bombay Begums in 2021 (Netflix), Escaype Live in 2022.
6. Rashmi Desai
Rashmi Desai is one most beautiful actresses in the Indian Cinema Industry. She was born on 04 Aug 1986 in Nowgong, Assam. She made her Bollywood debut in Sharukh Khan starrer Yeh Lamhe Judaai Ke in 2004. She made her television debut in 2006 with the mythological drama series Ravan on Zee TV. Shamin Mannan who is also from Dibrugarh, Assam is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses in Bollywood. She started her Bollywood career in 2016 with the movie Love Shagun. She has worked in many famous TV series like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki etc.
8. Riya Khaund
Another talented actress who hails from Assam is Riya Khaund. Bollywood Diaries directed by K. D. Satyam was his debut movie. Then she played a lead role in TAXII – is a 2016 Indian thriller film directed by Arunjit Borah.
