Zuchobeni’s Journey

Despite being rejected by many, Zuchobeni continued to chase her dreams and went on to win multiple singing titles. However, the rejection she faced took a toll on her mental health, leading to a diagnosis of clinical depression. But after seeking help and learning to love herself, Zuchobeni emerged stronger and more confident.

As a singer, she has won several awards and has gained a significant following on YouTube.

In addition to her passion for music, Zuchobeni also has a dream of establishing a skill-based school in her home state of Nagaland. She believes that such a school would be beneficial for the people of the region and would help to open up opportunities for them.

Zuchobeni’s journey into the world of pageantry has been driven by her desire to serve her community and showcase the unique beauty and culture of Nagaland to the world. She is determined to succeed and to use her platform to inspire others. She is currently participating in the Miss India pageant, where she hopes to make her state and her people proud.

Early Life

Growing up in Kohima, Nagaland, Zuchobeni Tungoe faced discrimination and bullying for not fitting the traditional standards of beauty. But instead of letting this hold her back, she used her unique qualities to her advantage.

Tungoe was born and raised in Nagaland, where she attended Little Flower Higher Secondary School, an all-girls’ Catholic boarding institution known for its excellent education. She was always drawn to singing and was able to establish a name for herself in the state.

She won the Kids for Fame 2011 competition at the age of 13 and was crowned Miss Dimapur in 2019. She also made it to the top 25 contestants in The Stage season 3.

Despite her successes, Tungoe faced bullying for her appearance and struggled with depression. However, she didn’t let that hold her back. She continued pursuing her passion for singing and even started sharing her talents on YouTube, where she gained a sizable following of more than a million.

Education

After studying at Little Flower Higher Secondary School. Later on, she pursued engineering in Bangalore for a while but discontinued her studies because her passion lied somewhere else and then Tungoe later decided to pursue a degree in Mass Media, and currently attends college in Mumbai.

Tungoe’s Personal Motto

“The negativity in your life must act like a catalyst for your future successes and not your failures,” reflects her determination to use her struggles as fuel for her future successes. She is an inspiring example of the power of resilience and perseverance and continues to inspire others with her journey.

She also wants to inspire others with her journey and help break the stigma around mental health.  She wants to represent Nagaland and showcase its beauty and culture to the world. She believes that the state has a unique beauty that has yet to be discovered.

Career

Zuchobeni Tungoe has always been passionate about singing and has won several awards for her talent. She was the winner of Kids for Fame 2011 and was a Top 25 contestant on The Stage season 3. She has also been crowned Miss Dimapur 2019. In addition to her singing, Tungoe has also built a following on YouTube, where she has over a million views on her videos.

Pageant Journey

Tungoe participated in the Miss India pageant with enthusiasm and determination. She represented Nagaland with grace and poise, showcasing her talent and the beauty of her home state to the rest of the country.

Tungoe’s selection as the official VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland remains a proud moment in her life. It was a recognition of her talent, passion, and dedication, and it opened up new opportunities and possibilities for her future. She continues to use her platform to inspire and empower others, and to promote the unique culture and beauty of Nagaland.

On being asked about winning Miss India:

If Tungoe were to win Miss India, she would celebrate by treating herself to a well-deserved vacation. She is a big fan of travel and loves the opportunity to explore new places and learn about different cultures.

One wish you’d make

As for her one wish, Tungoe’s answer is simple but profound: she would ask for peace. She believes that peace is the foundation for happiness and fulfillment, and that it is essential for the well-being of individuals, communities, and the world as a whole.
