Zuchobeni’s Journey

Early Life
Growing up in Kohima, Nagaland, Zuchobeni Tungoe faced discrimination and bullying for not fitting the traditional standards of beauty. But instead of letting this hold her back, she used her unique qualities to her advantage.
Tungoe was born and raised in Nagaland, where she attended Little Flower Higher Secondary School, an all-girls’ Catholic boarding institution known for its excellent education. She was always drawn to singing and was able to establish a name for herself in the state.
She won the Kids for Fame 2011 competition at the age of 13 and was crowned Miss Dimapur in 2019. She also made it to the top 25 contestants in The Stage season 3.
Despite her successes, Tungoe faced bullying for her appearance and struggled with depression. However, she didn’t let that hold her back. She continued pursuing her passion for singing and even started sharing her talents on YouTube, where she gained a sizable following of more than a million.
Education
After studying at Little Flower Higher Secondary School. Later on, she pursued engineering in Bangalore for a while but discontinued her studies because her passion lied somewhere else and then Tungoe later decided to pursue a degree in Mass Media, and currently attends college in Mumbai.

“The negativity in your life must act like a catalyst for your future successes and not your failures,” reflects her determination to use her struggles as fuel for her future successes. She is an inspiring example of the power of resilience and perseverance and continues to inspire others with her journey.
She also wants to inspire others with her journey and help break the stigma around mental health. She wants to represent Nagaland and showcase its beauty and culture to the world. She believes that the state has a unique beauty that has yet to be discovered.
