Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, two of Bollywood’s most promising stars, are ready to return to the big screen in the romance drama Satyaprem Ki Katha. The film depicts the two main characters’ wonderful love tale. The duo was most recently seen in Anees Bazmee’s psychological thriller Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha‘ is Aaryan and Advani’s second collaboration.
Sameer Vidwans, a National award-winning director renowned for his highly praised Marathi play “Anandi Gopal,” directs it.
The film is being marketed as a “soulful musical love tale” and is predicted to be a box office success.
The Title Controversy
The film was initially titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha, but the title was altered after several people complained that it offended them. The first title generated controversy on social media, and Sanskriti Bachao Manch, a Hindu group in Madhya Pradesh, filed a memorandum to file a criminal prosecution against the film’s producer.
On the occasion of Kiara Advani’s birthday, Kartik Aaryan provided an update on the upcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha.
The actor disclosed that the film’s original title, Satyanarayan Ki Katha, had been modified. The adjustment was made following a statement published by director Sameer Vidwans last year saying that the choice was taken to prevent hurting anyone’s feelings.
The decision to modify the title was supported by the film’s producers and creative team. A new title for the love story was revealed later by Kartik Aaryan when he wished co-star Advani on her 30th birthday. “Happy Birthday Katha!! Tumhaara SatyaPrem #SatyapremKiKatha @kiaraaliaadvani” with a whistling sound in the background.

The movie is all set to be released on 29 June 2023. The overall production started earlier this year. The crew recently completed their Mumbai shot and is currently prepping for their Ahmedabad shoot as per our sources. According to a recent rumour, actors Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani will resume filming for Satyaprem Ki Katha in November.
Gujarat plays an important role in the tale, and the crew is now researching sites there. Aaryan and Advani have already arrived in Gujarat and will be filming for 15-20 days. To add to the film’s credibility, the directors intend to incorporate as many authentic locations as possible.
